The Perfect Spring Weekend: Restaurant Week, RENT + Flowers!

HAPPY DAY! I’m feeling uncharacteristically refreshed, after an awesome weekend.  On Friday night John and I went to Laura Lee’s for Richmond Restaurant Week and had an absolutely divine meal.  Seriously the best chocolate pie I have ever had and there’s rumor that they might put it on the menu permanently! Pleaseeee and thank you!

(This Fiction Red Blend was also diviiiineeeeee)

On Saturday, John, Jeremy and I started our day off at Joe’s Inn, of course, and then went to see the 20th Anniversary tour of RENT at the Altria Theater and it was AMAZING.  So many memories from high school and college singing along to the Soundtrack and watching the movie version, but I had never seen it on stage. I was truly impressed and had to keep nudging John who kept trying to sing along out loud LOL.

SHOP MY RENT LOOK!

On Sunday, as planned, John and I did some much needed Spring Cleaning as well as landscaping work.  We moved into our house exactly two years ago, and if you’re like us, you know its so easy to just collect STUFF.  I cleaned out some closets and organized my shoes, but had to put that on hold because it was SUCH a beautiful day out, I wanted to be outside! John and I took our second Lowe’s trip of the day, because I decided to replant the pots at our front steps.  I am so stoked about my roses, hydrangeas and palm! Although, I originally bought the palm for inside, but our cats immediately went after it. So, alas, looks like I’m in the market for some indoor silk plants! Anyone have any recs?

aaaaand we rewarded ourselves with a nice frosty IPA from Anchor Brewing after a long days work! Definitely give their San Franpsycho a try – it’s the perfect warm weather beer.
