I have been vacationing in Gatlinburg for as long as I can remember! As children, my mom and my grandmother Sasha would take my sister and I – and these are some of my fondest memories. It is the perfect balance of charm and cheesiness and I just absolutely love it. I love the babbling creek that runs through town, the plethora of “big breakfast” joints, the charm of the Peddler Steakhouse, and the Great Smoky Mountain views. Over the years, John and I have been to Gatlinburg a handful of times, as I always choose road trips where it is conveniently “on the way.” I really love that John has grown to love the little town as much as I have and now I don’t even have to pressure him to visit – he jumps at the chance!
SO- when I saw that Margaritaville Resort had opened in town, I reached out to the team about collaborating on a mini-spring break getaway for John and me.

The day we arrived, the weather was absolutely beautiful! We got to enjoy Margaritas outside (wasn’t QUITE ready to get into a swimsuit yet) and sat by the toasty fire pit! They have the perfect outdoor lounging area, even if you don’t want to be poolside. I look forward to coming back and actually enjoying that margarita poolside and maybe embracing my inner child and hitting the water slides. Because, well, why not!

What’s a visit to a resort without a trip to the spa? Not my kinda visit 🙂 We got massages on Sunday morning and it was the only way to start the day! Definitely recommend St. Somewhere Spa, located on the resort property for all of your spa needs!

I could have laid in my bed, looking out over the town and the mountains for an entire day. If you’re looking for a getaway in the Smoky Mountains, Margaritaville Resort in Gatlinburg is DEFINITELY the place to be! It’s convenient, clean, relaxing and utterly enjoyable – if you’re into that sorta thing 😉 It’s in the perfect location towards the beginning of town and an easy walk to anywhere you want to go! Use code ‘RPBG’ for 10% off your stay!!
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions about our experience at the resort or about Gatlinburg in general. I’ve got answers for you! xx
{ Thanks to Margaritaville Resort Gatlinburg for hosting us on this stay. }
