Winter is coming y’all.

At the beginning of each season, I like to take stock in what is in each of my closets and look for holes in what I might need for the coming season.   I have already bought enough sweaters and sweatshirts this year to last me the next couple, but when it came to coats I noticed that I could use a new winter coat. I’ve got plenty of faux fur and teddy coat options, but my current everyday puffer coat had seen better days.

I was so excited to come across Bernardo Fashions from another blogger I follow and was thrilled when they wanted to collaborate! They have a range of coat options, from wool to parka, with a variety of color options. I knew immediately that I wanted this black EcoPlume Packable Hooded jacket, as it is perfect for everyday wear! For some reason I always gravitate toward longer coats but they have plenty of shorter coat options too.

I first took it for a spin on our trip to New York and it was amazing that I was able to pack it up into a little bag to fit perfectly in my suitcase.

In case you have been hiding under a rock, we went to New York for John to run the marathon a couple weeks ago and this was my outfit for marathon morning, when we were running around the city trying to catch  John as he ran by.  Well, I wore different shoes of course.  But I layered my new coat over jeans and a sweatshirt and it was perfect.  It is lightweight enough that you don’t feel like you are wearing a huge bulky jacket but it kept me amazingly warm in the chilly NYC air.

The Ecoplume, cruelty free insulation is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, adding Bernardo Fashions to my list of favorite sustainable fashion brands!

If you’re looking to invest in a new coat this season, check out the selection on Bernardo Fashions. Highly, highly recommend. This week they are running their Black Friday Sale. LIVE, through 12/1, get 40% Off with code THANKS4!

Thank you to Bernardo Fashions for sponsoring this post, making it possible for me to create content for my readers.
