At the beginning of quarantine, Jamie Beck of Ann Street Studio started a series called Isolation Creation. Each day, for 60 days she took one photo, sharing on her instagram feed and has since decided to start selling prints of her creations. I discovered this brilliance a few weeks into the series and fell in love with her images. I have always been a huge fan of her photography and how she captures the true essence through her photos, but this series especially spoke to me. My favorite being the final piece, on Day 60. It reminds me of a Monet which brings me such joy.
Now, I am nowhere close to as talented as she, but it certainly inspired to do my fair share of isolation creating!
So far, I have done the dancing series, the lemon photo, the mirror / J.ING dress photos, my TULA skincare series and started it all off with my Marc Fisher espadrille photos.
I have spent hours trying to figure out the best way to use my phone for remote shooting with self timer and a tripod and for the most part it has been pretty fun! This latest series started out as a way for me to show off these earrings from Leocadia K and my go-to J.ING blouse. I needed a new background, it was a rainy day and I saw another friend on IG doing the magazine wall collage. Now, this wasn’t something new to me, but it reminded me of course of Tezza’s collage kits and some of my favorite photos of Cathclaire in her old apartment bedroom. So I got to it! (See my Tiktok BTS here). I love the way these photos turned out and foresee many shoots in this little corner of my office in the future, because I’m obviously keeping the collage up.

I love the collage! I will be so glad when this over. I had a meltdown in the frozen food section of the grocery store. The masks, the gloves, standing on a blue dot…It was just to much. I wear gloves and a mask.
