John and I are coming up on our five year anniversary, which took me down memory lane to our anniversary last year.
Catherine and I had planned to go to Miami Swim Week and then stay a night at Four Seasons at The Surf Club, just north in Surfside, BUT! she found out she was pregnant the week before the trip. { *It was SO hard to keep this secret when everyone was asking why she wasn’t going with me anymore!* } So, I asked John if he wanted to go with me instead. Surprisingly, it took a little bit of convincing, but once I suggested celebrating our anniversary a few weeks early, and reminded him *AHEM* Four Seasons, he was on board! After our few days down in South Beach (See our Miami photo diary here), we caught an uber with a seriously charasmatic ex-tennis coach and checked into Four Seasons at The Surf Club.
~ What I’d be shopping if we were going on vacation ~
We were lucky enough to stay at a few Four Seasons hotels last year, but immediately upon walking into Surf Club, we knew this would be our favorite. Catherine had been for drinks and dinner before, so I knew about the epic Champagne Bar adjacent to the Lobby (pictured below) so we naturally grabbed a drink there first thing. From the beach front service, to the Champagne to celebrate our anni, to the late check-out, every exceeded even our Four Seasons standards!
It is truly the best of the best and if you are looking to splurge on a big trip once the threat of Covid passes, we HIGHLY recommend treating yourself to a stay at Four Seasons at The Surf Club in Surfside. It’s close enough to Miami that you still feel the vacay vibes in full effect, but far enough up the beach if you are looking for a quieter getaway. You’re guaranteed to have a luxurious experience.

Our anniversary dinner at La Sirenuse was easily one of the best meals of our life!!! From being greeted with Champagne to celebrate, to the Octopus, pasta and delicious bottle of wine, it was a true dream.
