EDIT: revisiting this post that I wrote last year in quarantine, updated with new jumpsuit options for Spring 2021. Luckily the jumpsuit pictured here is still available this year and it is a true fave. I didn’t want to change too much of the copy here, because, well, I wanna remember my quarantine mindset. But, links are updated for your shopping pleasure!
When I went outside after eating lunch yesterday to capture some photos of this comfy jumpsuit, I knew I needed to do something to show it off. After a few failed “posed” photos, I just started to move and show how the jumpsuit moved, and here’s what happened. Sure, these photos aren’t perfect and there is pollen EVERYWHERE, like seriously, if you close it’s in my hair, stuck to the pants, the whole nine yards. But, nowadays, creating photos to share with you guys on here is more than just a chore. I like to be inspired when I create, like I said in my last post, instead of just going through the motions of “I must get content on the blog.”
Anywho, I had a whole lot of fun with myself, my phone and my tripod creating these. {you can see a little BTS video on my story highlights here} Plus, I think these photos really show how great the jumpsuit is. I have to admit that I went through a HUGE jumpsuit phase back when they first hit the scene – 2010? 2012? – but in recent years I just haven’t been gravitating toward them. Not because they are super annoying to get on and off if you have to go to the bathroom, lol, just because I wasn’t really feeling ’em. I always associated a good jumpsuit with a springy, floral pattern or an alternative to formal dresses for special occasions.
THEN, I saw this one on Free People and knew that I had to have it. Turns out, it is the perfect piece to wear in quarantine. A good, casual jumpsuit says “I got dressed today, but am still as comfy as I was in my pajamas.” This one in particular is soft, still stylish and has perfectly oversized pants, just like I like ’em. This jumpsuit is sold out in this color, but still available in others! And here are a few others that I can’t personally vouch for, but that look comfy and stylish and won’t break the bank.
Do you guys prefer more posed photos, or something more fun and creative like this? Does it still help you get a feeling for the jumpsuit? LMK in the comments below! Hope you’re staying happy and healthy and STAYING HOME
xx Reb
